LESSology Challenge #35: Creative inspiration of Lizzy Hill

 photo Challenge-35-Tic-Tag-Toe-design-team-projects_zps960c1f87.jpg

Our last inspiration for the week is from design team member Lizzy Hill. Shall we see how she rocked LESSology Challenge #35: Tic Tag Toe

 photo Design-team-member-Lizzy_zps8033ad7b.jpg

Hey there! Tags! What a LOVELY challenge.....this month I've done a layout. It was a bit of a giggle, as I often buy my step grand girls clothes from Target on sale. Great price, good quality stuff. Take a peek at my journaling to see my 'Opps!':

They're such GREAT kids. Whew! So, they sent me some pics wearing their same-sames. Which I had to scrap, since I'm this:

But what about the TAGS you're asking...well, how's about these ones....how LUCKY was I with 'em?

They're my recycled element, plus some crocheted doily that I cut up, then soaked in ink to create a lovely popping pink - here's a closer look at one amongst the cluster:

I've also used an old pink index card, which is peeping out from behind the 'remember' tag...so here's my whole page:

And you might have a giggle at the below! I ALWAYS need to do this!!!

Thanks for looking & happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

I had a nearly trashed plastic gold frame that was begging for an overhaul! I still wanted to display photos but in an easier way to change them up.

It was also slightly warped due to it's age and being in the sun at the last house. So, it was needing a change & a bit of a disguise in the form of hand rolled flowers!

Here is what I started with! Patti wanted you to see how sorry that frame looked....she was quite embarrassed with all the really old photos!

I removed the glass, ditched most of the old photos, and hot glued in the black backing. You can also see the old vintage lace that I modged podged in.

The black background was also spritzed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist giving it a bit of a shimmer. Also spritzed the lace just a bit with mists and used gold shimmer modge podge.

One of my favorite parts of this whole project was adding a lovely JOY tag gifted to me from Helen over at Scrap Addict. It goes along nicely with our newest challenge here at LESSology to use a tag or tags on your project.

I actually have used quite a few tags on this piece. I had some that were over ten years old!

If you look behind the school photos, you'll see the edge of a tag that says "report card" that was used with a die cutting machine and cut along with other scraps in a scallop. I am using those as place holders for my photos with my dyed clothes pins. I downloaded a digital image from Etsy called Faded Roses that really helped pull those scallops together.

Here is my new recently old frame on display in our bedroom! The rolled roses & black background go along with my other frames. I hope you'll play along with us this month here at LESSology!

Hi everyone! Julie with you here today sharing my take on our challenge Tic TAG Toe!! :)

I had so much fun with my project! :)

My brother gave me this print/frame awhile ago, as he no longer wanted it -- a friend of his painted the horse over 20 years ago :)

I took the print out and then painted the frame Pink.  I still wanted the antique look -- so I did a "spotty" paint look! :)

And here is what I made with it! :)

Can't wait to see what you create! ~~Julie :)

Hey there friends! It's Yvonne here to share my inspiration for LESSology Challenge #35: Tic Tag Toe

I love using clothing tags as embellishments for my mixed media canvas. Particularly those sturdy chipboard ones. Can you spot my clothing tag?

I used it as a "signage" for my scene! You can't see from the photo but there are some pretty flourishes printed on it...and the back says "Elle MacPherson Intimates"...*winks*  I just created a hole on the other end of the tag and added brads.
