LESSology Challenge #21: Creative inspiration of Linda Lapotka

Photobucket

Hello friends. Today we have a really cool project from design team member Linda Lapotka for LESSology Challenge #21: You are my sweetheart.

Linda Lapotka

The death of the furnace brought forth the birth of Mr Cool.
It all started around Thanksgiving when I was advised to replace the thermostat, which I did.

Then a new electrical panel was installed. I kept the old one. Still the furnace would not stay lit.

January 3 the old  furnace was hauled out and an new one was brought in with a new thermostat. I collected the parts and Mr. Cool was born. He is a real sweetheart!  I added an old strainer, a paint stirrer, cardboard tubing, a frame, a tea strainer, and a beating heart all with wire.

I know my creation is a little different but I had the heart of my furnace just sitting there begging to be used in this challenge. I hope you like my creation and that you will join us this month for the “You are my sweetheart" challenge.

Here is a video telling more about Mr. Cool.

Hope Linda's project has got you thinking "out-of-the-box" for your creations for LESSology Challenge #21: You are my sweetheart. We would love to see your entries! :)Please read our challenge rules  to ensure eligibility for our prizes. :)

Kirsty Vittetoe

Hello all, happy 2013!!!
My project today is a gift box for my daughter.

The principal in my school gave me a box of chocolate for Christmas, they are in my stomach now but the box is not going to waste....

a bit of Gesso and paper, lots of vintage element work the magic for me...

now it's time to go get the gift to filled up the box

come play along with us!

Yvonne Yam

Hello there friends! It's Yvonne, here to share with you my wall art incorporating a heart ornament.

Wall-art

The base is an old board book. I cut a window through all the pages, leaving the last page intact for the back of the wall art.

Then I went crazy with the paint, dabbing it on with a palette knife to create textures...Added some resin shutters from Prima and heart bling.

The clear heart ornament was filled with blue beads. I painted the back silver because the adhesive I used didn't dry clear. Then I added some red and silver paint on the beads and topped it up with glass bead gel for a fabulous sparkle. I added a washer and a key charm to the top of the heart.

There you have it, two very different projects incorporating hearts. Are you inspired to give LESSology Challenge #21: You are my sweetheart a go? We would love to see your entries! :)

LESSology Challenge #20: Creative inspiration of Linda Lapotka

Photobucket

Have you been enjoying our design team's showcase of clear projects for LESSology Challenge #20: Barely there so far ? How about another inspiration from design team Linda Lapotka?

Hi There, My project this month to go with the theme "Barely There" started with a glass jar.  I am starting to plan my Christmas gifts and I created this to hold some of my homemade peanut brittle.

This is the jar I started with.

It was a sour kraut jar.

This is how it ended up after a little bit of glass etching, some felt, ribbon and doodads.
Can you see the candy cane? There is a candy cane, a tree and a ginger bread boy etched in the class.

Here is the video telling how I made my gift jar.

Come play along with LESSology Challenge #20: Barely there! We would love to see your  "clear" entries! :)
