Howdy folks! My very FIRST time here as part of the Design Team....FUN! And that's what I had 'playing' with my monkeys...well, you play with toys.....so might as well go with the theme this month, eh?!!
Found these from the Op Shop....no kids in this house, so I don't really HAVE toys!

Glittered some up with nail polish [my 'go to' glitter!! NO MORE MESS!!]
Then I've gessoed & painted some others....

Added some red nail polish sox to a few..... and the best thing about nail polish? IT DRIES QUICK!!!

Recycled that card that comes with the packs of photo paper, & made up my banner, creating some little washi tape hats from the same card board...........

Got out the hot glue gun.......et Voila!!!A Christmas [fun!] banner:):)

Some closies - the hot glue gun got a work out:)

Hope you find some inspiration, if you've got a few monkeys hanging around!!!!Would LOOOOVE to see what you can do with the toys from your place....
happy scrapping ~ Lizzy ♥♥♥

LESSology Challenge #31: Creative inspiration of Mitra Pratt

Have you been rummaging through your child's toy chest, hoping to find a broken toy? [We promise not to tell! *winks*] Let's check out what design team member Mitra Pratt came up with for LESSology Challenge #31: Toy Story.

My husband shook his head when he helped assemble this project....

He may have had his doubts, but he was the smart person who pointed out the second hand store vintage camera had a inset that I could use to bolt all these items together.

You can see all the layers here.

I used a metal clock face which already had a hole in it, drilled a hole through the marble base which was originally a cutting board and also drilled a hole through the number three wood block.

You can see the little block here sitting on top of a rusty gold hose handle.

I was gifted that block by Connie Mercer from Crafty Goodies so I was glad to put it into good use.

This project is a little affirmation sculpture.

Us women seem to be so hard on ourselves. We aren't pretty enough or thin enough or smart enough...my little camera tells you that YOU ARE GORGEOUS! You just have to believe it and in yourself!

Thanks for the chippy Lizzy Hill who is our newest teamie here at LESSology!

Really enjoyed making this project and I'm sure you will too! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Do you have a broken toy laying around OR a worn toy that has seen better days? Why not incorporate it in your project for LESSology Challenge #31: Toy Story? How about a little creative inspiration from design team members Julie Tucker-Wolek and Lynnda Hosni?

Hi everyone!! Julie with you here today to share my take on our November challenge - Toy Story!! :)

I recently purchased a BUNCH of vintage children's wooden blocks and have made A LOT of altered projects with them and I had more left over and was inspired by a block puzzle Michelle made and decided to try making a puzzle myself :)

Here are the blocks I started with :)

And here is what it looked like after I added the "first" layer of papers on the blocks :)

Then I took four tags from the Bo Bunny collection I was using and cut them up to create my "puzzle" effect :)  And here is the four sides I turned into "puzzles" :)

And here is what the blocks look like when the puzzle is all mixed up :)

Can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!! ~~Julie :)

Hi Everyone!
It's me Lynnda here with you today!... Yup... time really flies... this is LESSology last project for 2013!!! And the challenge for November is to use TOY!!!  This is pretty easy for someone who has a 9yrs old BOY!!! Matin actually helped me to choose which of his toys to use for this project!!!

These are the upcycled items- 1)For the based of my layout I used a cardboard
2)For the toy I used Matin's mini Frisbee
3)And I also found some colourful feathers from his art&craft work!
The 8x8 Layout attached with a mini album! {my 1st attempt!}

Hope you guys will like this!

I really can't wait to see what you all will create for this challenge!!
