Feeling a little wanderlust? Then come join us for LESSology Challenge #40: Travelogue. :) How about a little creative inspiration from design team members Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam?
I just came back from San Francisco 2 weeks ago, and this map I get from the hotel can't be any better for my mini album.
first I cut out the part of the map for the places I would like to highlight in my album
gather the journaling card from my project life plus some bits of pieces of left-over chipboard that I can used to make the album.
I will not take up too much space here, if you want to see the details of how to make this album, you can hop over to my blog on Wednesday 9/3.
I love to travel. While I don't always get to stay at the luxurious hotels, I like to pop in to admire the lush and beautifully furnished hotel lobbies....which provided the inspiration for my mixed media canvas. :)
The base of the canvas was first covered with wrapping tissue from packaging. Then I created the "wallpaper" with some light modeling paste and The Crafter's Workshop stencil.
The mirror was from an old travel makeup kit which I covered with washi tape and painted lace. The "frame" for the map was the cap from a Starbucks coffee bottle. The parts for the "chandelier" were bits of old costume jewellery.
