Hello again! Ready to be inspired by our design team's projects for LESSology Challenge #53: Dress Form? Let's check out how design team member Yvonne Yam was inspired by this challenge.
One of my fave fragrances is Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique which comes in a glass dress form bottle. The bottle is so pretty that I find it hard to throw it in the recycle bin.
So I decide to alter it to be a stand for my fave charm bracelet.
Here are the supplies I started with...the bottle, a glass door knob from Daiso for the base, book papers and air dry clay.
The bottle was small so I needed to "bulk" it up a little so that it can hold my charm bracelet. I tore pieces of book paper and adhered it to the glass bottle using matte medium. When that was dry, I covered the whole bottle with air-dry clay, making sure to distribute the weight equally so that the bottle is sturdy.
Once the clay was dry , I covered the dress form with bits of vintage lace and feathers.
I loved how it turned out and will be decorating more of these dress form bottles by varying the heights of the bases. Won't a row of these with your fave bracelets be a nice addition to your dresser? *winks*
