LESSology Challenge #30: Creative inspiration of Linda Lapotka

So, have you been busy in the kitchen? *winks* Let's check out what design team member Linda Lapotka whipped up for LESSology Challenge #30: Kitchen Raid!

What a fun challenge we have for you this month! There are so many fun things you can up-cycle from your kitchen.

I found this strainer when I was cleaning out my mother-in-law's house. I knew I wanted to make it in to a pincushion.

First I cut some circles from muslin.

I turned that and filled it with some crushed walnut shells. It is lizard bedding. Crushed walnut shells are suppose to be good to clean and sharpen you pins.

Next I sewed the little bag in the strainer.

Then the fun part. I added lace to the back and started embellishing.

I added this beautiful piece of tatting to the front.  Then some ribbon, and flowers.

Now this is hanging in my work area, and ready for my pins.

Here is the video I made while I was working on this project.

I hope you will join the challenge at LESSology this month.
