LESSology Challenge #16: Guest designer Spardha Angra

Photobucket

Let's say hello to our guest designer for LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl - Spardha Angra! :)

Greetings crafters!
I am Spardha, a soon-to-be second year architecture student { woohoo for that! } and a crafter from India. I haven’t really been in touch with the craft world as my college schedule doesn't give me enough time to scrap but I am really honored to be a guest designer for this month. I have been crafting since I was five but entered the world of scrapbooking six years ago. I love the LESSology blog and I always try to accommodate out-of-the-box materials on my projects as it’s fun to be different. I am currently designing for Pie Lane. I have experimented with all styles and fortunately or unfortunately I don’t stick to a particular style. I can make clean and simple projects one day and vintage and shabby the other. I love making scrapbooks as much as I love making cards and altered projects.

For this challenge I decorated my “TRAVEL ALBUM  COVER”, a suitcase to accommodate my vacation album.

I stamped with bubble wrap using paints, it’s pretty easy to stamp, gives a great texture and you can simply throw it after use if it gets messy!

To add the “packing” effect to the cover, I simply wrapped a butterfly card in bubble wrap.. looks cute!

Materials Used:
Paper: Making Memories Panorama pack
Embellishments: Acrylic embellishments, AC Thickers, Epoxy Stickers,
DCWV Travel Stack Chipboard Box
Others: Bubble wrap, Poster Paints, MS 3-in-1 Classic Butterfly Punch,
Silhouette SD, Baggage claim tag and handbag tag.

Wow! That's a really cool project Spardha and awesome use of the bubble wrap! What do you think? Please leave a little love for our awesome guest!

If you are inspired to use your bubble wrap in creative ways, please play along with LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl, we would love to see your entries! :)

LESSology Challenge #16: Creative inspiration from Shahrul Niza

Photobucket

Hello there altered enthusiasts! Ready to check out what DT member Shahrul Niza made for LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl?

Photobucket

Hi, it's Shahrul. Here's to share what I made for this month's challenge; a door-knob sign for a baby boy's nursery using some bubble wraps, a circle binder, fabric scraps and a few simple embellishments.

The circle binder is big enough to go through door knobs. In this project, I chose not to use bubble wraps as a medium for stamping but paint the letters 'SHH' on the bubble wrap instead. I used blue thread to better outline the letters. So, just put the sign up on the door when the baby is sleeping :).

The metal owl clock clip-on is a flea market find. So cute. It has a clock that shows baby's sleeping time :).

Can't wait to see how this challenge inspires you!. Hugs.

Then I painted it and used bubble wrap to add a textured "Floor" for my Cafe!

Then I had these goodies from an antique store....

Added some of my fave Bo Bunny papers... and next thing I know... I have myself a little Tea Cafe for my daughter to play with!!!

And my daughter with her new Tea Cafe... and her little dolls on it!!

I can't wait to see what everyone makes!!

Photobucket

Ready to check out how our design team tackled LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl? Today we get creatively inspired by Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam.

Kirsty Vittetoe

Hello it's me Kirsty here, and my project for LESSology Challenge #16 - Bubble Boy/Girl

I pick up this tea cup at the thrift store few days ago, I want something really vintage looking and I love the shape of this one

stuffed my little tea cup with foam

and my little sailor boy is ready to set sail....

he said: "Will you sail away with me?"

Hello friends! It's Yvonne here to share my mini album using bubble wrap.

Play mini album cover

I love how bits of bubble wrap add such a nice texture without being bulky and heavy.

I used watercolour paper as my base so that I could mist on both sides. Can you spot where's my bubble wrap?

I love how you can add paint on bubble wrap too! :)

Have the ladies inspired you to take a spin with some bubble wrap? We know you have some at home! *winks*  Come play along with LESSology Challenge #16: Bubble boy or girl.
