Hi Everyone,  Hussena  here and I am a stay at home Mom to two lovely kids and I am from Kolkata,West Bengal,India. I have a blog called "Quill and Punch works " and I started my blog journey a year and a half back...  Its been very interesting getting to meet so many different crafters from all over the world  each having their own style and  different techniques of paper crafting and most importantly getting to know about the various Craft Tools and supplies that are available to us nowadays  ...  Because of this I have come to love Paper crafts so much that its become a major part of my life, being part of the blogland has helped me a lot to grow as a Crafter and given me a chance to try out the different styles and techniques of crafting... Over , a period of time I have experimented with various styles and  I can't call any particular style my forte except maybe making my own flowers and embellishments and layering of -course !!..:)
I am  so happy to have  been invited to  Guest design for LESSology today and want to take this opportunity to thank Yvonne and the entire team at LESSology for inviting me here :)...Having said this I am really looking forward to seeing all the gorgeous work you people are going to enter here  for LESSology Challenge#24: Are you a Cover girl?.

So based on the theme ....I have recycled an old trinket box I had in my stash and embellished the cover of it with paints ,pattern paper and my current obssession die cuts :).. And here's is what I have come up with hope you all like my box ..:)

That is one beautiful cover by Hussena, isn't it? Please leave a little love for our guest. :)

Hi There, I have a very simple project for you with a fun technique.

I started with this very old 3 ring notebook.

Then with some glossy paper, Memento re-inkers, and some cheap makeup sponges I turned it into this.

Here is a video showing how I did this.

Now show us your cover! We can't wait to see what you create.

Sometimes, the best ideas are the simple ones! Come join in the fun and play along with LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a cover girl?. We would love to see your entries!

Hi everyone!!

I decided for this challenge to spruce up an antique Scrapbook I found at a local antique awhile ago :)
I got my idea from Connie who altered a Hymnal book with goodies without adhering it to the book by using twine :) So I decided to do that too as I didn't want to ruin the Scrapbook :)
Here is what my Scrapbook looked like before I added to it :)

And here is what it looks like now that I have added some tags that I made for the front :)

And just like Connie ... I added the tags using twine so I wouldn't ruin the cover with adhesives :)

Can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!

Hi... .....its me Lynnda...
And Today it's my turn over @LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl [or boy]?
Fun isn't it...For this month we want to see you get creative with covers!!!
Easy???... OH yes!!!...
It could be the cover of a box, the cover of a jar, the cover of a book, the cover of tin....Remember, you can create anything you want as long as you include at least one upcycled item on your project.
And for me... I had to steal Matin's tin!!! He's so sweet...Mommy you can have it!!! So I decided to alter the cover of this tin into a mini album...I'm going to fill this tin with our recent USA trip photos!!!...
How exciting!!!

The Upcycled: Tin
And for me...obviously I'm a COVER Girl!!!
Here is my interpretation:
I can't wait to see what everyone will create!!! Woohoo..

Fabulous projects girls! We would love to see what you come up with for LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl?. Come play along! :)

LESSology Challenge #24: Creative inspiration of Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam

 photo Challenge-24-Are-you-a-Cover-girl-design-team-projects_zps208e2103.jpg

Are you ready to check out the creative inspiration for LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl? Let's see how Kirsty Vittetoe and Yvonne Yam interpreted this challenge.

Kirsty Vittetoe

Hello there, it's Kirsty here.

The "Cover" I have here is a Rolodex I bought from the thrift store for 50 cents

it is 50 cents because it has a crack line on the cover, it is kind of old and not that clean, but the inside is totally fine and it even comes with a stack of clean index card

I decided to make the cover looks pretty and this is going to be my Birthday Book where I keep all the important dates, birthdays and anniversaries of friends and families

playing with gesso, mists, glitters, beads, sequins, lace and moulding gel is so much  fun....

now that the cover is done, it is time to work on those index cards inside

now I have a Rololex Birthday Book with a pretty cover

Come play along with us!!!

Yvonne Yam photo Design-team-member-Yvonne.gif

Hello there friends! It's Yvonne here to share my creative project for LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl?.

Guess what I upcycled for my project?

The storage box for blank CDs/DVDs.

It's very easy when you have a new collection of washi tape like me! *winks*

Add a bloom and some textures [tulle, pearls, leaf, bling] and it's all prettied up! :)

Ahhhh....some pretty projects to draw inspiration from. What about you? Are you ready to be a cover girl? Come play along with LESSology Challenge #24: Are you a Cover girl?!
