Hey there! I don't do many 'mini' albums at all...but I figured I'd collect a few different sized envelopes & give it a twirl. Every January I go off to the beach for a few days with my BFF, but I never document it. This year, my mini is now all done, & ready for the photos I've taken. There are LOTSA photos with a mini, so I tried to make collages in Photo Shop - it's a 'learning' experience, so excuse the blurry shots. Sorry!!!!

It's fairly self-explanatory. I was lucky to  collect a REALLY strong, hand made envelope sent to me from a scrappy friend, which made the front & back pages! The little envelope is also from another scrappy mate....it made a lovely feature for my 'good stuff' page:)

I really love how the different sized envelopes overlap, or peek out so you can see some other pages at the same time!

Most of the supplies I've used are old supplies & of course, my recycled element is the envelopes.

Like I say, photo heavy ~ I promise next month to do a really short post to make up for this one:)

Envelopes are SOOOO versatile & SOOOO easy to use - SOOOOO I'm hoping you get inspired to join in with this wonderful, fun challenge:):)

I have a confession to make. I love Valentine's Day. It's my favorite holiday of all time. In fact, nearly 16 years ago I got married on Valentine's Day.

You have to keep in mind, we are in the midst of deep winter here in New York. The holidays are long since over and the snow is getting old. So, any small occasion to celebrate and one that involves chocolate and hearts? I'm on it like white on snow.

My second confession is that I cannot say no to Valentine's Day paper. Last year I bought two kits and although I made good use of most of it, I still had a huge pile of scraps I was hoarding. The best use for that kind of thing? Cards!

Here is what I started with! I actually picked out similar scraps and piled them up for each card.

I printed out some awesome images from Nicecrane Designs from his Vintage Flower Post Card series which I fussy cut.

I also grabbed some playing cards I had received at the casino for my birthday. You notice they have a hole in them...so you can't reuse them AT the casino. They gave me two sets, so I figured I could use one up scrapping!

Also in the pile are small vellum envelopes and some pink crinkled ribbon I made up for the project.

The little envelopes fit in nicely with the challenge here at LESSology for this month! Clear ones work nicely as well because you can add little items inside that you can still see! Also helps with stash busting. I have had those clear envelopes for at least five years. ;-)

You might also notice some foil snowflakes and gold cupids. Those are German stickers sent to me from my Aunt Coco. They are super thick and come in a huge sheet. They actually aren't sticky at all. I have them tied gently to the ribbon in hopes that the people I'm sending these cards to will reuse the sticker and perhaps even the ribbon!

Hope you get a chance to hang with us over here at LESSology and play along! Hugs!

Hi everyone! Way excited about this month's challenge to use envelopes!!

One of my other DT's is Artful Delight kit club and in their amazing January kit was these little mini envelopes! I thought ... how perfect are these for this challenge!??!?!

But what to make with them???

Well, I had an old little metal Valentine's mailbox that I got from Target's Dollar Spot a couple of years ago, and I had these "heart" garlands I picked up from Michael's a few years ago ... and I decided to make a Valentine's Day Mobile!!! :)

I poked holes into the mailbox - pushed the garland's end through the hole I created and taped it securely on the inside :)

At the end of each garland strand ... I adhered the envelopes :)

I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!! ~~ Julie :)

I love making mini album, when February challenge asked to be creative with envelopes, I just found myself another excuse to make one more mini album.

The yellowish color of these envelope is exactly what I had in mind for this album...

I covered one side of the envelope with patterned paper

and left the other side as it was....

did a little stamping, added vintage images and embellishments...

Used ribbon to string them together...

Last step was to work on the front page....

Here's a mini album with lots of pockets for photos and keepsake.

Hello there! I love hoarding the little receipt envelopes from my fave French restaurant....but thought I might just use one on my canvas. *winks*

I covered the envelope with patterned papers and decorated with some pearls and stickers.

It holds a little message to my Gangster Gang - 3 nephews + 1 niece.:)

Love that I finally got to use my stuffed pig from an old scrunchie...:)
