LESSology Challenge #5: Creative projects of Amy Tsuruta and Lisa Saunders

Photobucket

Today we get to see the cute jars from Amy Tsuruta and Lisa Saunders! :)

Amy Tsuruta

Hello, Amy here to share my Altered Jar project.  The timing was perfect for this challenge because I'm going to a birthday party next weekend and needed a neat packaging idea.

Introducing the Canning Jar:

I love canning jars....not in the "kitchen" sense, but to alter...they are so many ways that you can decorate them.  This particular jar has been upcycled...the second item that is upcycled is the diecut.  I used a nestie with an upcycled Westin Hotel chippie coaster... they were scattered around our hotel room.  The Cameo Rub-On is perfect for the birthday girl...the sentiment is a rub-on too.

I used the same Jenni Bowlin paper inside the jar that I did for the lid...

I decided to just plop the interior piece of patterned paper in there just in case my friend preferred the "clear" look....she can just remove it.

I can't wait to see how the Jars of Cuteness challenge inspires you!

Lisa Saunders

I always wash and keep my old Jars. I use them for various different gift ideas.
One of my favourite gifts are sweetie jars.
I like to make these as teacher presents and make a tag saying ' Thank you for being a sweet teacher'. These always go down a treat.

And it's a great way to recycle old glass jars and use old old paper and ribbon scraps.

I can't wait to see what you do with yours xxx

Inspired to make your own jars of cuteness yet? We would love to see your entries for LESSology Challenge #5: Jars of Cuteness! The deadline for entries is Sunday November 13, 11.59pm EST. Please read the challenge rules to ensure your eligibility for our prizes.
